Celebrating Diversity is not Enough

The need for educational equity is more pressing than ever, and the good news is that more schools getting on board. But too often, schools adopt programming that emphasizes the trappings of culture: costumes, foods, and holidays. This can actually reinforce stereotypes while undermining opportunity.
